Our Beginning: From Play to Purpose

Our Mission and Achievements

Our name, AOUN, meaning "Support" in Arabic, encapsulates our purpose perfectly. Our work is rooted in providing support to families and educators, helping them foster positive, impactful learning environments. Through customized training, curriculum design, and practical resources, we aim to spread knowledge and goodness across communities.

This mission has taken us far. We were honored to be present at the NAFSA and ACTFL International Conferences as a promising research in story and play-based learning with The State University of NY at Albany and to host a story session at the prestigious Chicago Children’s Museum. Our work also bridges education with cultural and spiritual values, exemplified by our presentation of a faith-based science curriculum at ISNA.

Beyond these milestones, Aoun Programs has become a dynamic space for ongoing research and development. We continually innovate and explore effective story-based and play-based learning methods to stay at the forefront of educational progress. Our impact extends globally—we have supported educators in the United States and the Middle East in designing customized curricula that meet their learners' unique needs. To date, we’ve trained over 100 educators and teachers on critical topics such as child development, classroom management, parenting strategies, curriculum design, and learning sciences.

From our beginnings as a toy company to our current work in curriculum and educator development, one thing has remained constant: our commitment to helping communities thrive through education. At Aoun Programs, we believe that the foundation of any flourishing community is knowledge shared with purpose and goodness.

“The Believer is like light rain; wherever it pours, it spreads goodness.” This is the heart of Aoun Programs, and it will continue to guide us as we support educators, inspire children, and uplift communities worldwide.

Aoun Programs began its journey in 2019 as a Play-Based Learning Toy company in Egypt. With a vision to inspire creativity and joy in children through engaging, educational toys, we were excited to contribute to their learning and growth. However, when COVID-19 disrupted the manufacturing process, we faced an unexpected challenge. Rather than stepping back, we saw this as an opportunity to adapt and evolve.

During the pandemic, parents and teachers faced new struggles in keeping children engaged and motivated in their learning. At Aoun Programs, we realized that even if we couldn’t deliver toys directly, we could still bring the benefits of play to children by empowering those who guide them—parents, mentors, and educational directors. This shift in focus marked a transformative moment in our journey as we embraced a new mission: to equip educators with the tools, knowledge, and confidence to create meaningful learning experiences.
